What is a Six Sigma Green Belt?

Green Belt is the entry level of Six Sigma. This three-day course assumes no prior knowledge of Six Sigma. It teaches

bulletThe history and philosophy of Six Sigma
bulletBasic terminology
bulletBasic statistics
bulletSix common analysis tools including control charts.  

In a Six Sigma focused company, many employees will be given Green Belt training. 

 

Green Belt Program Details

Pre-requisites:

bulletA professional background in any discipline.  
bulletKnowledge of basic Algebra.  Check our links page for some useful pre-work sources.

bulletDMAIC Concepts and methodologies
bulletBasic data collection and interpretation
bulletBasic quality tools
bulletTheory of variation
bulletStatistical Process Control
bulletProcess Capability
bulletBreak Even Analysis
bulletCertification exam (included)

Course logistics:

Classroom delivered

bulletThree days, 8 AM - 5 PM each day
bulletUsually during the week, sometimes includes Saturday
bulletClasses held in a professional training setting
bulletAtlanta area classes held in Roswell/Alpharetta area
bulletParticipants must pass an examination to receive the Green Belt Certificate.

bulletMust use high speed internet connection
bulletStudent responsible for long distance phone charges
bulletOptional final exam for the course certification
