Free Presentation on Using Second Life as a Platform for Videos - June 22

This will be of most use to marketing and creative IT people.

Have you ever heard of machinima? You've probably seen it, at least on YouTube without knowing how it was made. It's a video produced in a 3D virtual world with avatars and virtual spaces
rather than real actors or people in live settings. It's fast becoming a cost effective way to create all types of videos, including promotions, advertisements, training, etc. Don't miss Pooky Amsterdam's presentation on June 22, 2009 at noon Eastern Time.

Pooky is a New York City TV producer and owner of PookyMediaFilms. She also produces two live weekly TV shows from Second Life.

Unlike many other on-line presentations, this one has a twist to it. It is NOT a webinar. It will be held in Second Life, the 3D virtual on-line community you've been hearing about.

Don't worry if you don't know about Second Life, where it is, how to get there, or what to do once you're inside. You'll get an introduction and training to give you a feel for the environment, the know-how to get there on time and the confidence to not feel like a rookie. This one-hour training session is included (and required) but there's NO COST to you. You'll get to participate in Pooky's presentation--and you'll have bragging rights about Second Life as well!

WHEN: Monday, June 22, 2009, 12:00-1:00 US Eastern Time (GMT -5)

Did you know...
• Some corporations are placing job ads within this virtual world which don't show up outside of it.
• Other companies are conducting interviews completely within this virtual world • Approximately $1,500,000 is spent daily in Second Life.
