What is an ITIL® Foundations Course?

ITIL® is the Information Technology Infrastructure Library which is a collection of best practices in IT service management.  Developed in the UK to bring consistency and best practices to the delivery and support of IT services, it is spreading quickly around the world.  There are several levels of certification in ITIL®, with the Fundamentals level being the first.  This course teaches you what you need to know to take and pass that certification exam.  The exam is not normally part of the course, you will enroll at a standard testing center and take that separately.  We suggest that you do that immediately after taking this course.  This course is based on ITIL® version 3, the latest version.

This three-day course assumes no prior knowledge of ITIL® but does assume that you are an IT professional. It teaches

Intended Audience

IT professionals responsible for developing, supporting or operating application based IT services or infrastructure based IT services, or those wishing to work in these areas.

o    Review of Homework and concepts

o    Continual Service Improvement

o    Full-course Review

o    Sample Test Review

o    EXAM PREP

 

Course logistics:

bulletLive, classroom delivered course, three days, 8 AM - 5 PM each day
bulletUsually during the week, may includes Saturday - check the actual dates on the calendar
bulletAll students will receive professionally developed and approved ITIL® training material
bulletClasses held in a professional training setting
bulletAtlanta area classes held in Roswell/Alpharetta area
bulletParticipants must pass an independently proctored ITIL® examination to receive the Foundation certification.  This can be done at any Thompson Learning Center.
